Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s upcoming film Monsoon Shootout is
scheduled to release soon. It was premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in
2013, but it has taken the makers almost four years to have the film released
in India.

Recent media reports claimed that Nawazuddin is too busy
to promote the film. But here’s the real reason why the actor is unable to
fulfil his promotional duties.
SpotboyE.com has learnt that while the film was
struggling for a mainstream release, Nawaz went ahead and allotted bulk dates
for his upcoming ventures. He did not factor in promotions for Monsoon
Shootout, as the film was never supposed to release at this point.
Nawaz who was praised for his versatile performances in
Red Chillies and Excel Entertainment’s Raees and Zee Studios’ Mom, continues to
have a choc-o-bloc schedule. The actor is currently shooting for Ritesh Batra's
Photograph and the Netflix Series Sacred Games.

"Nawazuddin had shot for Guneet Monga's Monsoon Shootout quite a while ago and there were rumours of the film being shelved. Now that the makers have decided to release it, Nawaz was keen on promoting the film, however, his packed schedule does not permit it as his dates were not blocked in advance,” reveals a source.

He’s not willing to take that risk.
“Making last minute changes in his shoot commitments
would be unfair, inconvenient and unprofessional to the makers and other talent
involved," adds the source.

Monsoon Shootout is scheduled to release soon. The film’s interactive trailer was released by Priyanka Chopra, a few days back.
